Testing email templates ensure your communications look great and function properly before reaching your audience. In this article, we’ll guide you through the steps to test email templates using Brevo.
Step 1: Set Up Your Brevo Account
- Create an Account: Go to Brevo and sign up for an account.
- Verify Your Account: Follow the verification process to activate your account.
Step 2: Create a new campaign.
- From the Brevo dashboard, navigate to the Campaigns section in the left-hand menu.
- Click Create a New Campaign to get started.
Step 3: Choose "Email" as Your Campaign Type
Select the Email option to start building your email template.
Step 4: Name Your Campaign
Enter a name for your campaign in the provided input field, then click Create Campaign.
Step 5: Set Up Recipients and Subject
- Click Add Recipients to choose your audience.
- Next, click Add Subject to specify the subject line for your email.
Step 6: Configure Sender Information
- Add your email address as the sender in the provided field.
- Don’t forget to click Save to store your settings.
Step 7: Start Designing Your Email
Click the Start Designing button to begin crafting your email template.
Step 8: Choose the "Code Your Own" Option
In the design interface, select the Code Your Own option.
Step 9: Use the HTML Editor
Click on the Use HTML Editor button to open the code editor where you can paste your custom HTML code.
Step 10: Add Your Code
- Copy your email template code and paste it into the HTML editor.
- Once you're done, click Save & Quit to save your work.
Step 11: Preview and Test
- Click on the Preview & Test button to view a preview of your email.
- Select the email address where you want to send the test version of your email.
Step 12: Send Test Email
- Click the Send Test button.
- After sending, check the recipient's inbox to verify that the email was delivered correctly and the template rendered as expected.
